Battle Scars
Hey Church,
I loved what Pastor said yesterday about how we need to carry on, despite the challenges in our lives. We need to have resilience, determination, and grit. We keep asking, seeking, knocking, praying, doing the will of God, even when life knocks us down. We might even have to crawl on our hands and knees. But on our knees is where God can often use us the most, because we are allowing Him to move. We need to see things as God does. Every battle scar we have from this life (physical, emotional, or spiritual) is a reminder of what God brought us through. Pastor said that sometimes living a life of faith is trying to find heaven in our hell. We have so much to be thankful for, and we don't need to worry about all that life throws at us because God is with us. His Holy Spirit lives in us. Christ's precious blood washes over us and is our ticket to the blessings of God. Jesus has scars too. But His scars are there to cover ours. Life may not turn out the way we want, but we can be hopeful to the end because there is nothing impossible for God! His love endures forever!
1 Timothy 6:12
