Confidence In God

Hey Church,

As you've heard over the last couple weeks, God always has more in store for us. When we've reached what looks like a dead end, or when we've done all we can and we're against a brick wall, then our only option is to look up. Sometimes we just need to let go and fall into God's plan. That's the hard part - allowing God to take control. We all know that it's the better way, but it's the uncertainty that causes us to fear. We're giving up our desires, our plans, our dreams, and surrendering them to God. Each time we surrender to God, it gets easier. He has always proven Himself faithful. His Word is true, and always comes to pass. God will never leave us or forsake us. If God is for us, who can be against us?

I also like how Pastor's been preaching about the confidence that Paul had.

Paul was in a prison with his life always in jeopardy. But Paul allowed God to use that awful situation. Paul surrendered to God, and that's when God started to use him. Paul was confident not in himself, but in God, because Paul KNEW God, and His character. That's the important part. When you know someone deeply, you know their character, and you TRUST them because you know that they have your best interest in mind, because they Love you! God's character is that of a loving Father. He knows what's best, but in order for us to grow, He sometimes allows us to make mistakes. Then we learn to trust in His ways. Forcing someone to do something doesn't help them learn. God already knows the best way, but sometimes He needs us to ask for His permission. The deeper we know God, the more we can trust in Him, and easier it will be to surrender our lives and all we have to our loving Father.
