Hey church,

Isaiah 41:10 says: "So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed for I am your God.  I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand."   This is one of those scriptures that is quoted very often and unfortunately, our minds can skim past its power.  God is saying that He is with you.  God never leaves your side, no matter what you're doing or where you are, his presence is always with you.  Because God is with us - we are instructed to not fear.  Easier said than done.  Fear prevents us from moving with forward God.  Fear causes us to doubt and leads us to stumble and walk away from the battle.   It makes us think that there is no way out, that our lives could never change. It leads us to question Gods faithfulness.  Fear is real...but God is greater than any fear you or I could ever feel.  God speaks light into darkness, forms beauty from ashes and makes all things new.  Your fear may be holding you back from breakthrough or causing you to miss an opportunity to get back on the right path.

The opposite of fear is confidence, faith, and trust.  The great thing about serving God: He has proven time and time again that He is faithful and in His word you will find promise after promise being fulfilled.  Our church is filled with amazing testimonies!  When we lack confidence, we can borrow confidence from God.  When we can't find the words to speak, we can speak HIS word over our lives.  When we struggle with faith, we can look to the one who has proven His faithfulness time and time again.  Next time fear starts to creep into your mind, know you don't have to face it alone.  You can speak Isaiah 41:10 out loud and give it to God's hands.  You are in better hands!
