Hey church!

I can’t believe this Sunday we will be in the new year already! I have been thinking about some goals that I have for the upcoming year and praying about what the Lord has for us this year. Maybe this year was a year you felt defeated, maybe you had victory, maybe both. I know for me I had both this year. The Word reminds us that darkness is real, but it is not greater than the authority we have in Christ. Jesus did not just defeat sin; He disarmed the powers of darkness through His redeeming blood. “They overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony” (Revelation 12:11). The blood of Jesus is not symbolic alone—it is powerful, victorious, and active. Because of it, we do not fight for victory; we stand in victory.

When Jesus shed His blood, He purchased our freedom and restored our authority. Darkness has no legal claim where the blood has been applied. Fear, oppression, shame, and accusation must bow to the name of Jesus. Through His sacrifice, we are no longer powerless! We are sons and daughters who carry His authority. “He has rescued us from the dominion of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of the Son He loves” (Colossians 1:13).

This year, the year of 2026, we will walk boldly. Speak truth where lies try to settle. Declare the blood of Jesus over your mind, your home, and your family. The same power that raised Christ from the dead lives in you. Darkness does not win! It has no authority. Jesus already won! Claim it and walk in it.
