Start With Me

Hey church! 

Revival is often imagined as large gatherings, powerful worship, or crowds coming to faith. But in Scripture, revival usually begins somewhere much smaller, inside a single heart that turns back to God.

In 2 Chronicles 7:14, God says:

“If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven… and heal their land.”

I believe one of the greatest miracles is a heart changed and transformed. 
We often look for the big moments that spark revival like the right worship set, a powerful sermon etc. But what really sparks a revival? 

Revival begins with humility. It happens when we recognize our need for God again. It grows when we pray, seek His presence, and surrender the things in our lives that pull us away from Him. Repentance is the key to revival. The Bible says ““The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit;
a broken and contrite heart, O God, you will not despise.” Psalm 51:17. 

“The Lord is near to the brokenhearted
and saves the crushed in spirit.” Psalm 34:18. 
It says the Lord will not refuse your broken spirit, a spirit that is humbled in repentance. He is NEAR to the brokenhearted , He is not far away. He draws near to those who draw near to Him! 

God doesn’t ask for perfect people, He just asks for willing hearts. When even one person chooses repentance, prayer, and obedience, the spark of revival begins!
All of heaven rejoices over one sinner who turns back to Him! The sound of heaven collides with us here on earth as we turn back to Him in repentance!!
Maybe revival doesn’t start in a stadium…
Maybe it starts at your kitchen table, with tears in your eyes, in a quiet prayer, or in a heart that says, “Lord, here I am, start with me.” 
“Create in me a clean heart, O God,
and renew a right spirit within me.”  Psalm 51:10.
Come and move in power Lord, we are ready.
